about me
Junicounseling was born from the fabric of my core values and my very being. Nicknamed June, I have always loved being named after the 6th month of the year, nestled in long summer days when time slows down.
Juni (June in Norwegian) represents my ties with Norway, where I spent nearly 9 years working as
a social-emotional and university counselor in international schools.
Counseling represents my very own ikigai, the work that I was born to do.

As a Thai American and psych major, I have always been attuned to cultural nuances and curious about the human condition. After completing my BA (Psychology) and MA (Education and Human Development, School Counseling) at The George Washington University, I worked as a school counselor for twelve years at Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS).
As my own professional trajectory and natural wanderlust unfolded, I took a leap of faith and travelled to Norway, the start of my extraordinary adventure abroad.
This adventure culminated in 10+ years of experience at international schools in Norway and The Netherlands. In that time frame, I also completed my Education Doctorate (EdD) from the University of Bath (UK) and Life Coach certification.

Given my life experiences, values, and personal ikigai, I am devoted to helping young people find their footing in life as they transition through high school, college, and beyond.
